Celebrating My Mastermind Monthly Feature
I’ve been working with Desiree Riley, Executive Director of the non-profit organization The Mastermind Cooperative (TMC), since the summer of 2022. She, along with many members of the Playa del Carmen family, stood by me while I was locked up in an immigration prison just miles from the Cancún airport.
Desiree’s unwavering commitment to community shows up in tangible, grounded ways: through TMC’s partnership with Coursera, she champions access to education; through their collaboration with Assembly of Life Ministries, she helps weave a safety net of mutual aid; and with Double Trellis, she confronts food deserts head-on, turning scarcity into sustenance.
It was an esteemed honor to welcome in 2025 with her — with a good word and a metaphorical gut punch to inspire more self loving accountability.
